In 1921, the president of the Miyasaka Brewing Company, Masaru Miyasaka, appointed a 28-year-old sake prodigy named Chisato Kubota to the position of brewmaster. The two travelled throughout Japan in the manner of Zen monks, “knocking on the door of the master and seeking knowledge.” This keen desire to elevate the quality of Masumi sake, combined with a shared openness of mind, was rewarded in 1943 when Miyasaka Brewing Company won the first of many top honours at the Japan National Sake Appraisal.

Join JÖRO for an exclusive event during National Sake Week in collaboration with Tengu Sake and  local supplier & Farmer, Jake Tue of Wortley Wagyu. A small, family-run business dedicated to producing the highest quality beef possible. They take great pride in the work that they do on the farm. Their Japanese Black Cattle are slow grown and grass-fed to maturity to produce the best quality and taste possible. Luke has created a one off Wagyu Signature JÖRO tasting menu, available only on April 17th at 19:00 but feel free to arrive from 18:30 to settle in and have a few pre-dinner drinks.

Unfortunately we are not able to cater for any dietary requirements be those allergies, intolerances, or preferences for this event.

Priced at £125pp, we do require a 50% deposit to secure the reservation which is subject to a 7 day cancellation policy.
